Merge the upper vertex on the sphere to the torso.
Now go into face editing mode ( D ) and delete the two triangles closest to
the sphere (Figure 5 36c).
Now that we have made the hole, we can start to connect the vertices on the
sphere to the torso. This time, we will use the Merge tool ( Ctrl M ), which
welds, or merges, the selected vertices, or edges, together.
With the model selected, press A to go into vertex editing mode.
As shown in Figure 5.37, we select the vertex we want to merge i rst, and
then the one we are merging to last. This will cause the i rst vertex to
move to the position of the second.
When selected, go to Modify > Merge (or press Ctrl M ) to merge the
two points.
Now let's move underneath the sphere.
You will i nd there aren't any vertices close to the bottom of the sphere, so any
we do merge to will alter the overall shape of her chest. We were able to do
this on the upper vertex because the chest hangs down slightly so we needed
