In-Depth Information
FIG. 4.4 Stylized character reference.
She also appears to be wearing a leather l ight jacket, loosely based on the
A-2 Flight Jacket, but with slight alterations to i t the character. In the concept,
her boots and gloves are also a custom design made from leather and steel,
with scuf s and scratches to show wear and damage in l ight.
This information gives us plenty to search for—images of the characters
mentioned, and perhaps some old leather boots and gloves to refer to.
(Tip: If you are stuck on clothing reference, try looking on auction sites, such
as eBay for photos.)
It would also be a good idea to hunt out some general clothing images, so
you can study the way the folds and creases lay.
Accessories Reference
The i nal references we should look for are her rocket pack, helmet, and gun
holster. The holster should be easy to i nd, as it is a standard design, but the
rocket pack and helmet are original designs.
