Moving on, let's see if we can remove the triangle behind the index i nger.
First, create a Cut next to the triangle, and a second one further out
running onto the palm (Figure 7.76b).
N e x t , Delete the two dividing edges splitting the quads behind the index
i nger. As you can see from Figure 7.76c, this cleans up that area.
Finally, Merge the edge of the triangle that connects it to the inner n-gon
( Figure 7.76 d).
With the palm cleaned up, we can start to add in some more details, like the
piece of skin between your thumb and index i nger.
To add this, create a new Cut from the middle of the thumb, to the base of
the index i nger ( Figure 7.77 b).
N o w Merge the two triangles at the start of the cut. This will leave you
with a couple of n-gons, but that is i ne for this area (Figure 7.77c).
Adjust the area next to l atten the l ap of skin, as in Figure 7.78.
