we have a polygon that needs to be removed; otherwise, we will end up with
a slight pinch in front of her shoulder.
Let's see if we can i x these before we move on.
Following Figure 7.47 , i rst create the series of Cuts shown. This will allow
us to reroute the l ow of polygons and remove the pole.
Delete the lower edge from the pole to smooth out the topology. Your
armpit should now resemble that in Figure 7.47b.
Now all we need to do is Merge the outer edge of the remaining triangle
and we are done (Figure 7.47c).
That's the topology sorted for the shoulder and armpit area. Using your
reference, play around with the shape until you are happy to move on.
Figure 7.48 shows the current torso.
Now let's look at the arm. We do not want her to be overly muscular, but her
arm desperately needs more shape and dei nition.
