One i nal area to adjust on the leg: behind her knee. What we need to add in
here are the two main tendons running down behind the knee.
Move around to the back of the knee and select the six quads seen in
Figure 7.13 .
Press Z to perform an Extrude ( Figure 7.13 c).
With the polygons still selected, apply a Smooth on them, to relax the
model ( Figure 7.13 d).
The main topology is now in place, but before we adjust it we need to take
care of the n-gon that still exists above the back of the knee.
The quickest way to remove this is to select the edges running up the
inner thigh ( Figure 7.14 b).
Perform a Bevel on these ( Figure 7.14 c).
N e x t , Merge the two edges shown in Figure 7.14d. This will remove the
n-gon and give us a nice edge loop to work with.
With the main topology in place, we can now reshape the back of her knee,
and revisit the legs as a whole.
