Following Figure 6.14, select the four central polygons and Extrude them
into the model.
Initially reshape this area, rounding it of before you add an extra edge
loop around the opening (Figure 6.14d). You can do this by selecting the
edge ring and pressing Alt X .
We could, after a bit more reshaping, leave the navel here, but the reference
we have has a crease above the naval.
Select the top two edges above the navel's opening (Figure 6.15a).
Create a Bevel to open up the edge, and Merge the two outer edges of
the new triangles.
Now move the new vertices in slightly to create the crease.
There we have it, her stomach area is complete. Yours should resemble that in
Figure 6.16 .
We could at this point work more detail into her abs and ribs, but remember,
we do not want too many muscles to show. Besides, once this model
is complete, you can always come back to it to add any extra details
you want.
