6:00pm), get an early dinner at the airport after yesterday's itinerary hotspots and call it a

If you booked another flight out of town (or, if times change, any flights that leave before
6:00pm), consider this a free day to explore and meander off the itinerary, or skip a thing
or two at the end of yesterday's itinerary to make your flight on the same day. Your call.
OPTION B: Intercity bus / minivan
If you took the bus to Luang Prabang from Vientiane, I can't imagine you wanting to return
in the same way. With that said, if you're committed, buses and minivans are around. Read
the earlier warnings about what to expect.
Get to Naluang Bus Terminal / Naluang Station - also thought of as the 'Southern Bus
Terminal'. If you're positive you want a Minibus, that's a different but nearby loca-
tion also in Naluang - be sure your tuk-tuk driver knows which one you want.
VIP buses (130,000 kip, 12+ hours) leave at 8am, 9am, and 7:30pm for Vang Vieng
and Vientiane. Regular buses (110,000 kip, 12+ hours) leave at 6:30am, 7:30am, 8:30am,
11:00am, 2:00pm, 4:30pm, and 6:30pm
A minivan leaves for Vientiane at 8am (155,000 kip, 9-10 hours); several more head
to Vang Vieng at 8am, 9am, 10am, 2pm, and 3pm (100,000 kip, 6-7 hours).
