In-Depth Information
If you're up for a bit more walking, look to the left for a fairly steep dirt path that goes up
even further - this is not one you'll want to take barefoot, although the rest of the area is
entirely doable sans shoes, if you're careful.
You'll pass by plenty of souvenir shops and food at the bottom of the hill - buy something
there and bring it up with you (but pack it out, please - keep the place clean and all), or pick
up a late lunch / snack before heading on. Note, that while the park closes at 5:30pm, the
vendors will likely stick around until the tourists are gone.
5:30 pm -- Another beautiful drive back to Luang Prabang
Price: FREE
Duration: 1 hour
Head out the same way you came in, then take a right to get back on the expressway. Route
1 heads all the way back into town and eventually becomes Sisavangvong road. Once back
in town, return the motorcycle (or thank the tuk-tuk driver) and get back to your hotel.
