Head back down the dirt road - it will eventually rejoin the expressway / Route 13. Head
back towards Luang Prabang - it's about 20 kilometers to the large bridge, signifying you're
getting close. A couple kilometers later, route 13 will make to a T and keep going to the
left. You want to go RIGHT - get off the 'expressway', go 100 meters and take the first left.
This is Phu Vao road - stay on this for about a kilometer until it too comes to a T. Take a
left onto this road, which is better known as route 1.
Stay on Route 1 for about 27 kilometers - eventually you'll come across the left turn down
an unnamed side road and go about 3.5 kilometers until the road dead-ends.
