TUTORIAL 1 (Creating Rectangles)
A rectangle is a four-sided object. You can create a rectangle by just specifying its two diag-
onal corners. However, there are various methods to create a rectangle. These methods are
explained next.
1.
On the ribbon, click
Direct Sketch > Sketch
and select the Front plane.
2.
On the ribbon, click
Direct Sketch > Rectangle
.
3.
Select the origin point to define the first corner.
4.
Move the pointer and click to define the second corner.
You can also type the
Width
and
Height
values to create the rectangle.
5.
On the
Rectangle
toolbar, click the
3 Points
icon under the
Rect-
angle Method
section. This option creates a slanted rectangle.
6.
Select two points to define the width and inclination angle of the rect-
angle.
