Print Settings for Windows
Once you've told Lightroom to use the proper proi le for your printer, paper
and ink selection, you will next need to choose the print driver specii c
settings based on the Operating System you are running. The settings below
are for Windows XP and Vista.
Once you click on “Print” in the Lightroom Print Module you'll be in the
Printer driver. In the Main panel of the Properties dialog, be sure to select
the appropriate paper type, such as “Premium Luster Photo Paper” or
“Enhanced Matte”. Which selection you make will depend on the printer and
output media you are using. Click on the “Advanced” button to make further
selections.
In the Advanced dialog box, be sure to select “Of (No Color Adjustment)” in
the Printer Color Management section. The proi les can be used for either
1440 or 2880, but they were designed to provide maximum quality when
using SuperPhoto 2880 dpi. The proi les can be used for either, but they were
designed to provide maximum quality when using SuperPhoto 2880 dpi. If
you have properly run the auto-align procedures for your printer, you will
have the option to print the highest quality even in High Speed mode, thus
making your printer capable of printing 2X the speed than if printing in Uni-
directional mode. Otherwise, it is best to uncheck High speed.
Lightroom Printing Templates Mac and PC
To make printing easier and less error prone in Lightroom, I strongly encourage
making printing templates. Whenever you change anything in the Lightroom
Print Module, you will see your saved template will be dimmed, meaning that
the current template is no longer active. If you wish to save all the current
settings in the template, you will want to CTRL-click (Mac) or right-click (PC)
on the template and choose “Update With Current Settings”.
