After you have sized and softproofed the image appropriately for output, go
to the File Menu Print. Best practice is to follow the dialog box top down,
left column i rst and then the right column.
Step 1: Choose your printer from the print drop-down menu.
Step 2: Set resolution and image size according to output preference. Center
and scaling preferences can be set from the output settings drop-down menu
at the top right of the dialog box. (See “Set Image Size and Resolution”, page
260 for more details.)
Step 3: On the right side of the box at the top, you need to make sure that
“Color Management” is active from the drop-down menu. Fix your output
settings separately and return to color management.
Step 4: Click “Print”. This should exit the Adobe print interface and launch the
operating system print interface.
Step 5: Click on “Copies and Pages” and drop down to choose “Print Settings”.
1. Set Page Setup: it is best to use the Manual Rear setting for heavy
i ne art papers.
2. Set Media Type: select the type of paper you are printing on.
3. Color: choose Advanced B & W Photo.
4. Select the Advanced radial button and choose a print quality setting,
SuperFine-1440 dpi, or SuperPhoto-2880 dpi for larger i nal prints.
