Method 1: Photoshop managed color
After you have sized and softproofed the image appropriately for output, go
to the File menu and choose Print. Best practice is to follow the dialog box
top down, left column i rst and then the right column.
Step 1: Choose your printer from the print drop-down menu.
Step 2: Set resolution and image size according to output preference. Center and
scaling preferences can be set from the output settings drop-down menu at the
top right of the dialog box. (See “Set Image Size and Resolution”, page 260, for
more details.)
Step 3: Softprooi ng options can be toggled on or of by checking and
unchecking the boxes. This is a softprooi ng feature built into the print
dialog box in CS4 to simulate how the image will print on the chosen paper
with the chosen proi le. WAY COOL CS4! (See “Softproof,” page 27, for more
information.)
Note:
“Photoshop manages
colors” must be checked
for this feature to work.
