High Pass i lter method
The Method
1. Duplicate layer to be sharpened.
2. Change the blend mode of the duplicate layer to Hard Light or Soft Light.
3. Filter Other High Pass (recommended values of 1-10).
4. If sharpened too much, reduce duplicate layer's opacity (globally or locally).

Smart Sharpen
Smart Sharpen was introduced in Photoshop CS2 to provide a modern tool
for a common problem and to solve a number of issues with the aging and
counterintuitive (to many) Unsharp Mask. Smart Sharpen's advantages over
Unsharp Mask are numerous:
• Superior algorithms: while Unsharp Mask combats Gaussian Blurs, Smart
Sharpen of ers, too, the ability to sharpen Lens Blur and Motion Blur.
