Automation Tools
If you are shooting for HDR (High Dynamic Range) or for panoramas, there are a
few new automation tools that will help speed up your workl ow. By evaluating
metadata, Bridge can now collect your panorama or HDR images for you by
choosing Stacks > Auto-Stack Panorama/HDR. Images can be moved directly
to Photoshop to create, save, and preview the i nished panorama or HDR i le
by choosing Tools > Process Collections. If you want to open several images in
a multi-layered document, choose Bridge > Tools > Load Files. However, small
quantities of images seem to work better than large quantities at one time.
Create Collections
Open the Collections Panel, Window Menu > Collections. Expanding on the
previously existing collections feature, Bridge now of ers a new Collections
panel allowing you the ability to group your images into virtual albums just like
Lightroom. You can build collections manually or have Bridge do it for you by
selecting certain criteria like star-rating, name, or keywords for Smart Collections
that will grow over time as new photos with matching criteria are added to the
collection automatically. Collections now af ord Bridge some powerful library
functionality, accelerating its usefulness well beyond the mere browser it
once was.
Camera Raw Integration
One of the many benei ts of organizing and browsing images in Bridge is its
integration with the Lightroom Develop Module and the Camera Raw plug-in -
as they share the same engine the feature parity is synonomous. There are many
ways to open your images in Camera Raw from within Bridge, with the simplest
being to just double-click the i le, or Control-click it and choose “Open in
Camera Raw”.
Batch processing
If you have several images that need the same processing edits, you can copy the
settings from one image and apply them to other images right in Bridge. Control-
click the image in the Content panel and choose Develop Settings > Copy
Settings from the resulting shortcut menu. Then, multiple select the images you
want to apply the settings to with the CMD and/or shift key and Control-click to
access the shortcut menu again and choose Develop Settings > Paste Settings.
You can also access these menus from the Edit menu in Bridge.
Adobe Output Module: Slideshows, PDF, and Web Galleries
Bridge can also create an instant slideshow of your images, and generate PDFs
or a Web gallery. The new Adobe Output Module of ers an interface very similar
to the Print and Web Modules in Lightroom. It is extremely intuitive and easy
to use. Select the images you want to export and click the Output workspace
button at the top of the Bridge window. In the Output panel a Template pop-up
of ers some preset options that can be customized. Click the Output Preview tab
