and the “Go to recent i le” menu that allows you to see all the i les and folders
you have recently visited.
One of the most useful additions is the Path Bar, which serves as a trail for
helping you maintain a spatial orientation to your i le system. If you do not
see it, choose Window > Path Bar.
Spotlight Integration
New to Bridge CS4 is a search bar with Spotlight integration. If you do not
know where an image i le lives, type its name, the i rst few letters, or keywords
into the search i eld and press Return. Bridge will instantly launch a search
throughout your hard drive to locate the i le. However Spotlight is specii c to
OSX on the Mac, otherwise Bridge will search by default through i le metadata.
Downloading Images
Using Bridge to download your photos instead of Lightroom can now be done
seamlessly through a separate application called Adobe Photo Downloader.
This allows you to accomplish almost all the same workl ow chores outlined in
Lightroom, such as automatically rename images, add keywords, descriptions, and
copyright info. It can perform a backup as part of the import process and burn a
DVD for of -site storage in a single user-friendly dialog box. (See I. Import: Includes
