Integration: Lightroom to Photoshop
Once you have processed your images with all the global adjustments
possible in Lightroom, and safely archived your images in at least three
locations, you will want to work more extensively with some choice
images for the more powerful selective adjustment phase of the workl ow.
Photoshop is the next step for more complex selective editing and
conversion options, as well as for applying more advanced sharpening
techniques for your desired output in prepping images for print.
There are a few options at this point to move images from Lightroom
through to Photoshop.
Lightroom to Photoshop: Direct Edit
To move directly from Lightroom into Photoshop, select one or several
images in Lightroom that you wish to edit in Photoshop. You can do this
either one at a time as you are ready for them, or in a group with as many
images as you can take on at once. Use the Shift key to select multiple
images at once.
Go the Photo Menu > Edit in > Photoshop CS4 or Control-click (Right-click
PC) on the selected images and choose “Edit in Photoshop CS4”, or use
CommandE. Choose “Edit a copy with Lightroom adjustments”.
