In-Depth Information
Step 3: Choose a destination folder. For organizational purposes, I have a
permanent Lightroom export folder on my hard drive marked with the year.
For each export, I check the “Put in Subfolder” box and title according to the
shoot.
Step 4: I choose a i le name that keeps the current i le names attached to the
images. You may want to create a custom name here to dif erentiate between
the raw i les and the processed DNGs. Either approach is good workl ow
practice.
Step 5: Now click on the drop down menu at the top and choose “Files on CD/
DVD” instead of “Files on Disk”.
Step 6: Click “Export”. The CD drive of your computer will magically open and
a dialog box will appear prompting you to insert a blank disk. Insert a blank
disk and burn!
Print a contact sheet
At this point in the workl ow, you may want to print contact sheets of the
images that can give you a visual reference to the images and where they live.
Move to the Print Module and choose one of the easy templates 45, 58,
or 44., or have fun customizing a contact sheet style of your own with the
options available in the right hand panel of the Print module.
Note:
See Chapter 6, “Printing,”
page 204 for more
details.
