Step 9: Before and After
Lightroom of ers a variety of ways to see “before” images beside, above or split
with “after” images. You can see by the below example how far I've come in a
few short steps.
1. Toggle the Before and After button to get dif erent views.
2. Click upon the Loupe View icon to revert to full screen.
Lastly, pressing “L” once shows us our i nished product in a semi lights-out mode.
Ta-da! Image development and processing can be done extensively and uniquely
one image at a time or, for incredibly fast batch processing, Lightroom allows
you to apply all the same adjustments to multiple images at once. You must i rst
develop one image entirely the way you like it and then select any number of
images you wish to process with the same adjustments and click the SYNC icon
at the bottom of the Develop Module. A dialog box will appear allowing you to
choose which of the previous adjustments to sync. Uncheck the adjustments you
feel should not be applied.
Step 10: Photoshop
Lightroom is extremely powerful and we have rendered a very nice split toned
image in a relatively short amount of time. If your particular image needs more
detailed edits, continue to Photoshop by menu, Ctrl Clicking on the image
or by clicking Command E (with Photoshop set as an external editor).
