Types of Noise
Luminance noise
This type of noise will make an image look grainy on screen, but will not
necessarily have much of an impact when printed, unless it is incredibly
severe. Luminance noise is much like the “snow” on your television after most
stations stop broadcasting. The causes of luminance noise are typically due to
static and other forms of interference and imperfections of the camera.
