The Palace of Westminster
It is lit up at night and then simply looks spectacular! Therefore, it is well worth a visit at
Nighttime as well!
The building is huge; it has more than one thousand rooms, 100 staircases and 2 miles of
passage.
Some of the Original rooms are still present after a devastating fire burned down a big part
of the building. One of the most notable which is the Westminster Hall built in 1097 also
survived the fire.
The Palace has several towers including the famous Big Ben Clock Tower. Big Ben is the
informal name of the largest of the bells in the tower, which weighs 13 tons and strikes
every hour.
