Trafalgar Square is one of the most popular tourist attraction on Earth with more than
fifteen million visitors a year
Below this statue, tourists feed the masses of pigeons that fly in and out of the crowds and
to St. Martin in the fields. This is a church which has been there since the 13 th century and
well worth a visit. Its interior is stunning!
Also around this square is the National Gallery and Admiralty Arch.
Trafalgar square is known for its notorious traffic jams since all cars seem to end up at this
square.
Trafalgar Square is also known for decades to be a site for protest; from anti-nuclear
demonstrations of the 1960's to the infamous 1990 Poll Tax Riots and lately the occupy
protests.
