When shopping in the UK tourists will pay VAT (currently at a rate of 20%) on many of the
goods that they purchase. Non-European Union (EU) residents may be entitled to claim this
VAT back when they take those goods home with them.
Be aware that you have to present your Passport (or simply always take a copy with you
because the seller might need to do a copy and your passport number has to be filled in the
form as well.
