modulated shorefaces (the tidal end member of shorefaces) with respect to wave, tide, and river
influence on sediment deposition. The middle ternary diagram is developed strictly for shorefaces
and considers the three main influences on sediment deposition in these settings: fair-weather (FW)
waves, storm waves, and tides. The lower diagram considers only tidal processes (currents and tidal
