arewell-oxygenated lakewaters, soft substrates, and highwater tables in subaerially exposed settings.
Laterally adjacent environments along strike and along depositional dip both form vertical succes-
sions under changing conditions. The idealized sections showvertical successions along depositional
dip. Examples of ichnofacies shown are based on case studies (referenced here) and predicted assem-
