In-Depth Information
The settings in this dialog are described here:
name Use this setting to provide a name for your theme that will help you
identify it. You can have multiple themes at once within an InfraWorks model,
so naming your themes can become important.
feature Class Use Feature Class to select the type of object you want to ana-
lyze. The choices include buildings, roads, barriers, and water areas.
Property Use this setting to choose the property you want the theme to be
based on. The available choices will vary based on the selection you make for
Feature Class.
Minimum/Maximum Value You do not have to analyze all of the values for
your model. You can set minimum and maximum values and perform the analy-
sis within that range.
distribution Six choices are available for this setting, including Individual Values,
Quantile, Equal, Logarithm, Standard Deviation, and Jenks (Natural Breaks).
number of rules The theme is created by subdividing the range of values
into rules. Each rule will be assigned a color. So, you can make your analysis
more detailed by increasing the number of rules.
transparency You can adjust the transparency of the analysis so that the
detail of the objects can be seen beneath it.
Color from/to InfraWorks will assign colors to the theme rules automatically
by choosing colors between those specified in the Color From and Color To set-
tings. Once the theme is created, you can double-click the color swatches on the
Feature Themes panel to change the color assignment for each individual rule.
Palette type InfraWorks provides a number of color palettes to set the color
scheme of your terrain theme. This is the location where you can select the
palette. You can even click the ellipsis button to open the Setup User Defined
Colors dialog where you can customize a palette to contain the colors you want.
Preview The preview will show you the breakdown of colors based on the
values for Number Of Rules, Color From, Color To, and Palette Type. As changes
are made in other parts of the Theme Properties dialog, the preview will update.
Once you've configured your theme, you can click OK to dismiss the Theme
Properties dialog. The theme will appear in the Feature Themes panel and will
be applied immediately to the model.
