In-Depth Information
The settings are as follows:
optimized for Quality/speed This control gives you quick access to all of the
settings in the Optimize Graphics section at once. You can make a choice and adjust
the settings beneath and InfraWorks will store those settings for easy recall later.
display detail This setting controls how much detail is shown for 3D models,
terrain, and other model components. You may find that certain 3D models do
not show up at all when this setting is too low. This setting is controlled with a
slider that goes from Low to High.
Antialiasing Computer images are made of pixels: tiny squares. When you
draw lines using a series of squares, the lines look jagged or “stepped.” Although
the effect is typically subtle, antialiasing makes the lines look smoother (see
Figure 6.6) but also requires more computing power. The available choices for
this setting are Off, 2x, 4x, and 8x.
fIgure 6.6 The image on the top is displayed using an Antialiasing setting of Off, while
the image on the bottom is displayed using a setting of 8x.
