Copy to the Current Catalog
This icon simply copies a style within the cur-
rently selected catalog.
rename
This icon is used to rename the style you've selected in the Style Palette.
edit
This icon opens the configuration dialog for the style, allowing you to
edit it to suit your needs.
exercise 5.1: Manage styles
In this exercise you are going to create a new catalog that will contain styles for
parking lots. You will then copy a material style from the Roadway catalog to
your new catalog.
Go to the book's web page at
www.sybex.com/go/infraworksessentials
and
download the files for Chapter 5. Unzip the files to the correct location on your
hard drive according to the instructions in the introduction.
1.
If it is not already open, launch InfraWorks.
2.
On the Start Page, click Open and browse to
C:\InfraWorks Essentials\
Chapter 05\
. Click
Ch05 Bimsville Bypass.sqlite
and click Open.

In the top-right corner of your screen, click the Proposals drop-down
list and select Ex_5_1.

If the Style Palette is not visible, click Style Palette on the Manage toolbar.

Click the Material tab of the Style Palette.
6.
Click the plus sign icon within the Catalog Editing area at the top of
the Style Palette.
7.
In the Create New Catalog dialog, enter
Parking Lot
for Name. Click OK.
The selection in the drop-down list will change to Material/Parking
Lot, as shown in FigureĀ 5.3.
