fIgureĀ 4.22 A barrier is used to show transmission towers in the model.
Creating Barriers
Creating barriers is quite simple. As with the other commands you've stud-
ied in this chapter, the Barriers command is found with the other InfraWorks
design commands (accessed by clicking the InfraWorks Home icon and then
the InfraWorks Create icon on the InfraWorks toolbar). You click the Barriers
command, choose a barrier style or 3D model style from the Select Draw Style
asset card, and click a series of points to represent the path of the barrier. As you
draw, a red line will show you the path you have selected, similar to drawing a
road or row of trees. When you've reached the final point, double-click to finish
the command as you have with other InfraWorks drawing commands.
Barrier gizmos
Barriers can be edited using the following gizmos:
Vertex Location and elevation gizmos These gizmos adjust the horizontal
and vertical location of the barrier vertices. When you initially create a barrier,
the vertex elevations will match the terrain. If you edit the elevation of a vertex
and then move it using the location gizmo, the elevation will reset to match
the terrain.
