The classic budget traveler's hostel is El Cafecito , at Honorato
Vasquez 7-36 and Luis Cordero,
7-832-337, www.cafecito.net. It's
complete with modern art, modern music, and young backpackers.
The rooms, all of which are clean and comfortable for the price (which
is next to nothing), surround a courtyard area for hanging out.
There's also a good café perfect for relaxing with a cerveza or cappuc-
