can-owned, this is one of the better budget choices, with locked stor-
age space, shared baths with hot water, a good restaurant, garden

rooms are all different; several open up onto covered patio areas or
meandering stairways. Rooms range in size from singles to quadru-
ples and include private baths and hot water. Cable TV is offered
downstairs in a common room, and additional social areas are located
in the adjacent restaurant. This is a nice place to stay if you want to
step up from the hostel category without paying too much more. Plan
to spend at least $15 a night; breakfast is included in the price. $

few blocks away and under the same management. Very clean and
comfortable facilities complementmodern rooms and a pleasant envi-
ronment. Rooms vary from an eight-person dorm-style room with a
shared bath, to doubles and a matrimonial suite. Thanks to a nearby
disco, the Posada can be just a bit noisy on weekends, but the atmo-
sphere and accommodations more than make up for it. Rates vary,
but expect to pay at least $15 a night. $
One of the better accommodations for a great price is the bright Casa
Sol Bed-and-Breakfast , at Calama 127 and Av. 6 de Diciembre,

com. Owned and operated by an indigenous couple from Otavalo,
Casa Sol offers awonderful atmosphere in a charming building, just a
couple of blocks from all the activity. Very clean and comfortable
rooms are centered around a garden patio and have private or shared
