P op In something for everyone
105 rue Amelot, 11ème • 01 48 05 56 11
Open to 2am Tue-Sun
A rather odd mix ofgrungy local, student haunt and
fashionista central, the Pop In is, truly, all things to all
people. The weeknight indie concerts give way to DJs
and dancing at weekends, with music that ranges
from electroclash to sugar pop. Christian Dior once
threw a huge party here - it's more chic than it looks.

Le Lèche-Vin quirky-but-cool bar
13 rue Duval, 11ème • 01 43 55 98 91
Open to 2am daily
Ultra-kitsch, Le Lèche-Vin is stuffed full of iconography
and Virgin Mary-related religious paraphernalia. It's
more than disconcerting, but given that this place is
also a shrine to the vine, don't feel too guilty about
knocking back the cheap drinks in the company ofthe
Bastille hipsters who hang out here.

Le Clown Bar themed wine bar
114 rue Amelot, 11ème • 01 43 55 87 35
Open to 1am daily
All manner ofclown-related clutter and big-top bits
and bobs can be found here. If you find Pierrot & Co
unsettling, calm your nerves with several glasses of
excellent wine, picked from an interesting and varied
list. Don't be afraid to ask for guidance - the staff are
happy to discuss the various vintages in depth.
12 F3
Café Charbon living legend
109 rue Oberkampf, 11ème • 01 43 57 55 13
Open to 2am Sun-Thu, to 4am Fri & Sat
The original OberkampfHQ, Charbon is still going
strong. The huge mirrors, beautiful antique lighting
and Belle Epoque feel keep a loyal crowd coming back
for more. Get there early for the chance of a table or
space at the bar, or go very late to enter the backroom
club (with eclectic music roster), Le Nouveau Casino.
