Complementing the adjoining MAMVP, this venue
hosts cutting-edge art shows and installations. These
are often site-specific, with artists creatively utilizing
the vast proportions of the revamped interior. It's
worth trying the basement restaurant, Tokyo Eat, for
its designer good looks and food to match. Adm

The curved twin pavilions of the Palais de Chaillot are
separated by a large terrace that offers spectacular
views of the Tour Eiffel and beyond. In the west wing,
the Musée de la Marine features a wealth of
surprisingly interesting exhibits - such as Napoleon I's
flamboyant imperial barge - that trace the glories of
French maritime history. Major redevelopment of the
Palais has seen the scaling down of the Musée de
l'Homme (its amazing ethnographic collection is
destined for the Musée du Quai Branly, due to open
in early 2006). In its place, the Cité de l'Architecture
et du Patrimoine, a museum of modern architecture,
is due to open in early 2006. Adm
