In-Depth Information
U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2 data directly to Epson would produce a very
ugly print. We could conduct two rounds of conversions using the
Convert to Profile
command but this can be accomplished using the
Print with Preview
command, using the following technique.
Before beginning this tutorial, set your Photoshop Color Settings to
U.S. Prepress Defaults
(
North America Prepress 2
in Photoshop
CS2).
1.
Choose
View-Proof Setup
and select
Working CMYK
from
the submenu. This ensures that the U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2
profile is being used for the CMYK soft proof, which we will
need later, in step 3.
2.
Choose
File-Print with Preview
and the dialog in Fig. 9-9-4
appears. Make sure the
Show More Options
check box is on
Fig. 9-9-4
The
Print with Preview
command is seen with the middle
Proof Setup
radio button set for the CMYK working space profile
from the color settings. This configuration would produce a conversion from ColorMatch RGB to U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2 to
Epson2200PremGloss.
