printing. This slider can also be useful to remove the effect of black
“peppering,” sometimes seen with ink-jet printers using CMYK output
profiles. The default is 100 percent and lowering this slider would
produce the effect of using less black ink for highly saturated images. This
is much like the opposite of GCR. That is, black ink is reduced in satu-
rated colors to be replaced with more CMY inks as seen in Fig. 7-7.

slider removes black by
adding more CMY inks to
the other channels. The
