mentary school days. The lesson showed that by passing white light
through a prism, we are able to see the individual frequencies that com-
prise it. These frequencies show themselves as the colors of the rainbow.
Newton's prism sorted light rays by their wavelength since shorter wave-
lengths are bent (refracted) more than longer wavelengths. My dad
