DeltaE Revisited: In Chapter 1 I discussed deltaE and how this is a useful method of com-
paring two colors and calculating the differences. As with most aspects of color management,
the ways in which deltaE is calculated is evolving thanks to the ongoing efforts of color scien-
tists (please read some sarcasm into that last sentence). There are at least five different for-
mulas for calculating deltaE, the differences I can't even begin to fathom. The latest formula is
