Re-Invention of Wind Power: 1975-1976
When the first oil crisis hit Denmark in 1973-1974, wind power
was nearly forgotten or considered as a technology of the past. With
an abundance of cheap oil for more than a decade, Denmark had
built up a high energy consumption and a high degree (92%)
dependency of imported oil.
