In-Depth Information
technological breakthroughs in small wind turbines, research in
aerodynamics of wind turbine aerofoil, concept designs of large
wind turbine, research in wind farm planning methodology,
development of wind turbine design software package, research
in 200 kW generation units and certifications, etc., laying a
good foundation for technological advances in WTGs, domestic
production of large turbines and wind farms.
He Dexin made contributions to the theoretic evolution of
aerodynamics for wind turbines by conducting comprehensive
research in deviation features of wind turbines and 3D fluidity of
blades in wind tunnels for the first time in the world, revealing the
3D fluidity and non-constant flow of blades, the results of which
were used for validating design theories and model construction
by scholars in China and abroad. In the meantime, he developed
experimental techniques of wind tunnels for wind turbines,
used improved wall pressure info matrix to successfully correct
interference from the tunnel walls in the wind tunnel experiment
for the first time in the whole world. These findings caught high
values among counterparts. In over 30 years, the well-respected He
Dexin is still active at the frontline of China's wind energy, where
he contributes his experience and intelligence.
Shi Pengfei started his career in wind power from a leading
role in Sino-Belgian governmental cooperative project. In 1986, he
was involved in building the wind farm in Pingtan, Fujian Province,
one of the earliest in China. With overseas study and experience
in developing wind farms, he soon became an authoritative expert
and won people's trust and respect with his dedicated work
and frank expression.
Afterwards, Shi Pengfei took the position of director of new
energy division under Water and Hydropower Planning and
Design Institute of the Ministry of Electric Power and later was
promoted to be deputy chief engineer, responsible for the early
stage work of wind power projects in China.
Shi Pengfei left his footprints in almost each and every
important wind farm and wind turbine manufacturing plant. With
no exaggeration, no one would know better than he does about
the true status of China's wind power industry. After retirement,
there still is not much leisure for him and business trips are still
normal. At the age of 70, he keeps riding a bicycle to work and
home, two hours a day, 28 km, a habit he has had since high school.
