diferent efects in performance. The controlling parameters in
refined work for diferent sizes of blades are also diferent, since
they are generated from countless and often expensive experiments.
Zhang Xiaoming told me, “Zhongfu Lianzhong tested almost all
resins, adhesives and glass fibre from home and abroad, and knows
clearly even about viscosity and infiltration of kinds of resins under
various conditions. This homework might seem insignificant,
but has laid a solid foundation for blade materials and technique
optimisation. We have been paying attention to all the details in
the manufacturing of blades.”
Zhang Xiaoming also said that the manufacturing of big blades
compared with smaller ones would simply require longer open
periods for adhesives, as well as manual regulation of fluidity of
resins on fibre. What is noteworthy is the factor of heat release on
the quality for bigger blades. Even though many other countries
have developed material systems for bigger blade manufacturing,
we still need to make decisions on the selection of materials,
matching report and technique details through experiments and
data as support.
In the workshop of Zhongfu Lianzhong, I experienced the
importance attached to the details of manufacturing by their staf.
For example, the glass fibre rowing needs to be laid out evenly,
as required by the blade design company. This work is related to
the experience of the workers with the features of the materials.
However, design companies do not have requirements in detail
about these factors. Other blade enterprises might only require
the woven method, density and fibre model while selecting fabrics,
but Zhongfu Lianzhong would even identify the drying method,
since the touch would be diferent as a result of diferent drying
methods. The touch is another reference to tell the experience of the
workers. Why would some workers fail to use the same experience
on the same kind of fabric while laying out the blades? In fact,
it relates to humidity in the workshop. It is not easy to identify with
the naked eye how to lay out the fabric, so Zhongfu Lianzhong has
a rule to start such work only when humidity is below a certain
percentage.
How can laying of rowing and resin be evaluated? Zhongfu
Lianzhong has his own inspection methods and standards. It
requires a large amount of experimentation to obtain the best
temperature for resins to shale the module under the best conditions.
