After extensive analysis and fierce design debates, finally a
3-bladed 11 kW windmill with 7.6 m rotor diameter was built
with a twisted blade made of mahogany. Tip air brakes were built
combining the machine shop skills of John Carlson and Otto Kilcher
and the carpentry skills of Tim Murnane and Birger Kühn.
