Soon after Seewind started cooperation with Danish WindWorld
on a 750 kW machine WindWorld had developed. Some dozens
of this type were sold. When WindWorld was merged into NEG-
Micon this work came to an end. Furthermore Seewind was unable
to design larger wind turbines. As a consequence, the company
changed to a service supplier responsible for creating road access
to wind farms or servicing wind turbines.

Jacobs: 1988-2001
Jacobs Energie was located in Heide, northern Germany. In the late
1980s Jacobs produced Aeroman turbines licensed by MAN. In
1992, when MAN ceased all wind energy activities, Jacobs
developed the Aeroman turbine further, increased the rated power
from 20 kW to 33 kW and ofered 31 m concrete towers. Of this
model some 20 units were sold in Germany. Plans came up for
development of an own wind turbine. In 1994, a 500 kW prototype
turbine with a 37 m rotor was installed followed by a dozen of
