hundred units, most of them to German customers. In 1980 a 15 kW
Brümmer turbine successfully underwent tests at the Pellworm
site. Larger machines up to 200 kW were developed. However,
with the advent of grid-connected wind turbines in the 1980s,
Brümmer lost market shares, since his machines only operated
as stand-alone units while no grid-connected machines were ever
designed. In 1990 the last Brümmer unit was sold. Despite, the
turbines were marketed until the 2000s.
