The Vind-Syssel WTGs were mainly sold and erected in Denmark,
but like any other WTG manufacturer at that time we were also
looking out to the big world.
When Kockums Shipyard in Malmö, Sweden, was closed down,
the buildings were rented to all kinds of new entrepreneurship
companies. One of them was supposed to be a WTG manufacturing
company working on a new concept. But they received orders
from buyers before having any ready technology. Cooperating
with them, Vind-Syssel erected three units of 50 kW in Skåne
(southern Sweden).
This Swedish company was also organising delivery of four
units, 50 kW to China, from our knowledge it should have been the
first grid connected WTGs in China ever. Vind-Syssel also erected
one unit in the Faroe Islands. But everybody was focusing on
California, because this is where the big money was in building
wind farms with 20-00 units at the time.
