Background
It was springtime 985. I felt like a free man, after my decision
to leave “Miljøhøjskolen” (Danish Ecology Center), where I had
spent my body and soul 24 hours a day as the director since
974. Yet, my freedom did not last too long, as I was contacted by
Preben Maegaard, the director of Nordic Folkecenter for Rene-
wable Energy, who encouraged me to establish a new company
for producing WTGs. Six months later, Vind-Syssel was a reality.
