In-Depth Information
In 1978, when I met Karl Erik he was still doing fine, despite
the after-efects of his serious cancer. Sadly, the cancer had not
been done with; in the spring of 1982 he was attacked by new
tumours,
which
caused
visual
disturbances
and
paralysis.

He continued working at new projects with an incredible willpower
and drive, among others on the development of a new type of
gear system. As one of many solutions to his growing disablement
problems he installed a lift in his most recent wind turbine. The
disease, however, was stronger, and Karl Erik died in October 1982.
