In-Depth Information
With the globalisation of the wind power industry, Vestas
established its own blade factories in Denmark, Germany, China, the
United States, etc. In 2011, Vestas announced the introduction of a
7 MW wind turbine with a rotor of 164 m diameter—the biggest
in the world at that time—to be launched in 2014. Each blade is as
long as nine London city buses.
