(1930) is professor
emeritus of physics at the Technical
University of Denmark (DTU). Prof Meyer
has been member of the Club of Rome
(1972), president of the Danish Academy
of Technical Sciences (1971-1977), vice
president of DTU (1969-1974), member
of the Energy Supervisory Board
(Regulatory Committee) for the Danish
energy sector (1997-2004), chairman of
the Danish Steering Committee for RES
(1982-1991). He has also been member
of a number of Danish and international Science Councils. Since 1972,
Prof Meyer's research focuses on sustainable energy development
and promotion of renewable energy sources. He has initiated new
curricula at DTU on Energy and Resources.
