( Figure 6.78 ) . The 3D Keyer provides Festa with a great way of visualiz-
ing the qualification he's made ( Figure 6.79 ) . The qualification defines a
shapes approximating the shape of the woman's face. He then softens the
key ( Figure 6.80 ).
This key serves to selectively blend the original footage to the blurred
channel, allowing the blurred image to be blended only through the key
created with the 3D Keyer skin tone selection protected with the garbage
matte. The effect is a beautiful softening of the woman's face ( Figure 6.81 ) .
This is a great use of secondaries.
