of the ports in the query similar to the sequence of ports defined in the transformation. To
sort the data, double-click on the Source Qualifier transformation, click on the
Properties
tab, and specify
Number Of Sorted Ports
, as shown in the following screenshot:
This will be possible only if your source is a database table and only if you wish to sort
the data at the source level. If you wish to sort the data in between the mapping, you need
to apply the Sorter transformation.
Selecting distinct records
You can use the source qualifier to remove the duplicates from the database tables using
the select distinct option. By default, Integration Service extracts all the columns from the
source in the default query. When you select the distinct option, Integration Service adds
the
SELECT DISTINCT
statement into the query that it generates.
